Jeff took us out to the pier after a morning tutorial on sports photography
where we learned a few tips on shooting surfers. What an awesome way to spend
the day! This shot happened pretty soon after we arrived when the sun was making
silhouettes against the sky and ocean. It looked really awesome and I was
excited to see what kind of pictures I would get. The technique was to have
good timing and shoot continuously everytime a surfer caught a wave. This
shot was all about the perfect timing; I saw the birds right above
the surfer and followed them both with continuous shooting and couldn't have
been more excited with the result.
