    Great White Sharks and finning

This image bought to mind the barbaric practice of finning- whereby a shark has its fins cut off and is thrown back into the ocean to die a slow and probably agonising death. I took this image of a great white shark in Mossel Bay whilst on my internship and was amazed while watching how the shark used it to swim and how vital it is to their continued success as apex predators
