    Full Moon Shoot

One does not usually sit on the edge of a precarious cliff. But that is the average evening as a photography intern in South Africa. Having never photographed the moon before, and also never used a Canon 5D Mark II, it was certainly an interesting night, filled with trial, error and self instruction. After not having the correct lens to shoot the moon in close detail, a change of plan was nessacary. Instead with a 100mm lens, shooting the sunset over Mossel Bay was just as challenging. Trying to capture the city lights while the moon's brightness over powered the sky, made most of the photos look like it was daylight. It did however have an amazing reflection on the water and cast a warm glow over the town, but unfortunately not over the photographer whose hands were frozen around the camera.
